A blog is the cheapest way to be found on Google — but only if you publish. Here is the whole process, nothing skipped.
1. Open a new post
Log into yourdomain.mk/wp-admin → in the left menu Posts → Add new. Do not confuse it with Pages — there is a separate article on the difference.
2. The title is half the job
Write it as a question or a promise, with the words people search: how much a boiler repair costs in your town beats Our services. The title also becomes the address (permalink) — keep it short and clean, no dates or numbers.
3. The text — in blocks
You write a paragraph, press Enter — that is a new block. For a heading inside the text: type it, then pick Heading H2 from the toolbar. Rule: paragraphs of 2-4 sentences, a subheading every 150-200 words. People scan, they do not read.
4. The three things everyone forgets
- Category — on the right; one per post. Without it everything lands in Uncategorized and the blog looks neglected.
- Featured image — lower right; it is the image in the list and when shared on Facebook
- Internal links — 1-2 links to your own pages (a service, contact, a related post). It keeps the visitor and helps Google.
5. Check before publishing
Click Preview → and look at it on mobile. Check: headings, images, working links, no red spelling squiggles.
6. Publish
The Publish button, top right. Not sure — Save draft, or schedule it for later (there is an article on that too).
7. After publishing
Share on Facebook and to your email list. For older sites: Search Console → URL Inspection → Request indexing, so Google arrives sooner.
Advice
Do not wait for perfection. A 600-word post solving ONE real client problem is worth more than three weeks writing the big article that never ships.
